A Junior Health and Safety Officer is required to work for a top Build Contractor in Cork. The successful candidate will receive guidance and training from a highly regarded health and safety manager. Role: Enforce the implementation of the company's policies, procedures, and management systems for health, safety, quality, and environmental issues. Assist site management in drafting and communicating Method Statements, Safe Plans of Action, and Tool Box Talks, providing advice and support as needed. Offer guidance, instruction, and advice on all health and safety matters to management, safety representatives, and employees, including sub-contractors as necessary. Conduct Health & Safety induction programs for new employees or sub-contractors on site. Carry out regular inspections and site audits, reporting any findings to site and senior company management. Ensure prompt follow-up to address any identified issues. Ensure that all accidents are reported, recorded, investigated, and appropriate notifications are given to the Directors, Health & Safety Authority, and Insurers as required. Promote the Company's mission of maintaining a healthy, incident, and injury-free workplace.
