The Role.
GMC are currently seeking a motivated Junior QA/QC Engineer to support quality assurance and quality control activities on utilities and civil engineering projects based in Dublin.
The successful candidate will assist in ensuring that all works are completed in compliance with project specifications, company procedures, and relevant standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Key Responsibilities: Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the project Quality Management System (QMS).
Carry out site inspections, audits, and quality checks in line with inspection and test plans.
Ensure works are compliant with drawings, specifications, method statements, and industry standards.
Maintain QA/QC documentation including inspection reports, NCRs, checklists, and handover packs Support the identification, reporting, and manage non-conformances, corrective actions, to close out.
Monitor project activities to ensure quality requirements are met.
Liaise with site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and clients on quality-related matters.
Monitor materials delivery and ensure certification and traceability requirements are met.
Assist with internal and external audits as required.
Promote a strong quality and safety culture across site activities.
The Candidate: Required Experience and Competencies: Minimum 1+ years' experience in a similar position, preferably within utilities or civil engineering.
Relevant third-level qualification in Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
Good knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and documentation control.
Familiarity with Irish/UK construction standards and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Full driving licence is essential.
