One client is a leading multinational player in the global pharma & biotech sectors.
The HVAC Supervisor is assigned to a project as a member of the Construction Team with responsibility for the proper and timely construction of the HVAC Scope in accordance with Jacobs Safety and Quality standards, the detailed design, the control estimate, contract, SOP's, WI's, standards etc. The HVAC supervisor is responsible for the timely turnover of all mechanical systems to the client.
Assists the Mechanical Lead with Constructability Reviews and Interactive planning sessions with the Client and Design Team.
• Ensures that the construction phase of the projects is adequately provided with suitably capable, qualified and experienced personnel, together with all the necessary plant, tools, temporary facilities and other resources.
• Adheres to best-in-class site execution SOP's as guidance to the Field Supervisors
• Engages with the Design, Commissioning and Client teams throughout the project to ensure system turnovers are achieved to scheduled milestones
• Complies with the Jacobs construction methods, procedures and practices in all respects, particularly those relating to safety, quality assurance, personnel and industrial relations; where these are found to be inadequate immediately reports the deficiencies and suggests solutions.
• Ensures that the applicable statutory and other legal requirements are properly observed.
• Understands the implications of the Health and Safety at Work Act and Regulations as they affect the responsibilities of employees.
• Keeps abreast of developments in the construction industry and assists in ensuring that the Jacobs capability continues to develop and excel.
• Ensures that the projects are constructed to the drawings, specifications, applicable standards, good construction practices, to schedule and in accordance with the cost budget.
• Directs and controls the activities of the assigned staff and their functions
• Carries out assessments and appraisals of the contractors works and reports the results in accordance with Jacobs practice.
• Ensure Jacobs are utilising the best technology available and ensuring innovative ideas are encouraged.
• Ensuring lessons learned on projects are recorded and shared.
• Reviews contractor progress reports and provides input to weekly CM report out to Client.
• Attends daily whiteboard meetings
• Attends contractor progress meetings
• Manage construction works from pre-construction to system turnover
• Ensures that the criteria as set out in the Quality plan are adhered to
Requirements
A successful track record in supervision and installation of mechanical HVAC systems in pharmaceutical or microelectronics construction environment.
Understands method statements and risk assessment can coach others in document production
Understands how quality is managed systems are used to ensure successful delivery of works to the required standard and specification
Understands the importance of ensuring accurate site records maintained to record resources in use and non-productive time and defective works
Primary degree (Level 8) in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering or relevant industry experience
10 + years experience
Package
€60 - 68/hour depending on experience.
