Contract Senior Backend Software Engineer – Java/Python
We're looking for an experienced Backend Developer with a strong background in finance systems to join our team. You'll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining secure, high-performance backend solutions that power complex financial applications.
In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable systems, build robust APIs, and integrate with leading payment and banking platforms — all while ensuring top-tier data security and compliance.
What You'll Do
* Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs for financial platforms.
* Integrate with payment gateways, card processors, and banking APIs.
* Manage and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases for performance and reliability.
* Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
* Drive system performance, troubleshooting and optimizing where needed.
* Contribute to testing, quality assurance, and documentation.
* Collaborate closely with front-end, product, and infrastructure teams to deliver seamless solutions.
What You Bring
* 9+ years' experience in backend development.
* Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or Node.js.
* Proven experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
* Deep understanding of financial system technologies.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
* Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
