Position Overview
The Energy Engineer will provide support to senior consultants in delivering high-quality consultancy services to clients. You will engage directly with clients, providing solutions to reduce energy costs and improve sustainability, while leading specific projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in conducting energy audits and climate action strategies for industrial clients, delivering detailed energy opportunity calculations, audit reports and PowerPoint slide decks.
Produce feasibility studies, M&V Reports, Energy Efficient Design Reviews and other energy consultancy services.
Provide expert advice on energy efficiency, renewable energy solutions, and sustainability strategies, helping clients achieve their energy goals.
Develop customized energy plans, including cost-saving initiatives, renewable energy systems, and energy efficiency improvements.
Drive sustainability programs, advising clients on achieving energy certifications and reducing their carbon footprint.
Monitor industry regulations, ensuring clients comply with energy efficiency standards and legal requirements.
Be aware of relevant grant opportunities and advise clients on the applicability of same. Leverage these opportunities to further advance EM3 offerings across other service lines where appropriate.
Ability to work under own supervision and to problem solve accordingly.
Supporting business development as required.
Prepare and present reports and recommendations, explaining the potential for energy savings, return on investment (ROI), and environmental benefits.
Ensure compliance with energy-related regulations and support clients in achieving energy certifications such as ISO 50001.
Support the senior consultants in project management tasks, including scheduling, coordination, and follow-up activities.
Continuously learn and stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the consultancy services space.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.

Experience

2+ years of experience in energy management, energy consulting, or a related technical field.
Proven experience in performing energy audits, data analysis and implementing energy-saving technologies.
Strong understanding of industrial energy systems and sustainability practices.
Experience with the implementation and maintenance of ISO50001 Energy Management Systems.
Experience in verifying energy savings using appropriate methodologies (IPMVP).
