Excel Recruitment has partnered with a growing Children's Disability Service to recruit a Senior Clinical Psychologist.
This position offers the security of a full-time agency contract with the potential to progress to a permanent HSE role, all while working within a large, multidisciplinary team under strong clinical leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
1. As a Senior Clinical Psychologist, you will provide leadership and expertise in the delivery of psychological services.
2. You will conduct complex psychological assessments and provide evidence-based interventions for children and adolescents (0-18 years) with a range of developmental, intellectual, physical, and sensory needs, including autism spectrum disorder. Your role will also involve: Leading clinical practice and providing expert psychological consultation to the multidisciplinary team.
3. Conducting complex psychological assessments and delivering highly specialised, evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the needs of children with disabilities and complex presentations.
4. Providing clinical supervision and mentorship to junior psychologists and other team members.
5. Contributing to the development of Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) in collaboration with families and the multidisciplinary team.
6. Participating in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, case discussions, and joint interventions alongside Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, and Speech and Language Therapists.
7. Developing and delivering psychoeducation, counselling, and care planning to empower families in managing their child's needs.
8. Leading and contributing to service development, team learning, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
9. Maintaining accurate, confidential, and timely documentation and reports in accordance with best practice and legal requirements.
10. Engaging in clinical supervision and ongoing professional development activities.
Candidate Requirements:
11. A recognised qualification at Doctorate level (or equivalent) in Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychology.
12. Eligibility for membership with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) and a strong clinical track record.
13. Overseas qualifications must be validated by the Department of Health at the time of application.
14. Demonstrated post-qualification experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, and emotional or behavioural challenges.
15. Proven experience in a senior or leadership role with responsibility for clinical supervision, team consultation, or service development.
16. In-depth knowledge of a broad range of psychological assessments and intervention frameworks
17. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative working skills.
18. Ability to manage a complex and varied caseload and work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
19. Full driver's licence and access to a car preferred but not essential.
