Key Responsibilities
* Support client-side design team for all HVAC-related aspects of the Facility.
* Coordinate HVAC design and execution with Site SMEs and the Engineering Technical Authority (ETA).
* Lead client-side HVAC design reviews, ensuring compliance with standards and GMP requirements.
* Oversee the design and specification of air handling units (AHUs), chillers, exhaust systems, and air distribution networks.
* Ensure HVAC systems meet environmental and cleanroom classification requirements (ISO 14644, EU GMP).
* Review and approve drawings, URS, HDS, SDS, and equipment specifications.
* Support Factory and Site Acceptance Tests (FATs/SATs), commissioning, and qualification activities.
* Provide design oversight for integration of HVAC systems with Building Management Systems (BMS).
* Monitor installation quality, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate issue resolution during construction.
* Contribute to vendor selection, procurement, and technical evaluations for HVAC packages.
* Assist in troubleshooting system issues during start-up and qualification phases.
* Participate in cost and schedule reviews to ensure project objectives are achieved.
Experience & Qualifications
* Experience in HVAC design and project delivery within pharmaceutical or biopharma environments.
* Degree-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent.
* Professional accreditation (e.g., CEng, ASHRAE, or equivalent) preferred but not required.
* Experience in GMP cleanroom HVAC design and validation.
* Strong knowledge of HVAC standards and regulatory guidelines (IS, EN, ASHRAE, ISO 14644).
* Ability to interpret and challenge design decisions, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
* Proficiency in HVAC design software and AutoCAD or Revit preferred.
