Description
Do you like to design, operate, and implement networks of large scale? Would you like your work to play a key role in supporting all aspects of connectivity to/from Amazon and the outside world, as well as the connectivity between Amazon’s data centers and services?
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We keep the cloud running by supporting data centers, servers, storage, networking, power and cooling equipment to ensure continuous access to Amazon’s services.
Key Responsibilities
Design network architectures, services and deployment procedures that meet operational and technical requirements.
Collaborate with leadership and cross‑functional teams to select projects that support the team’s mission.
Generate High‑Level and Low‑Level Design documents and influence technology roadmaps.
Construct, test and document solutions, and provide support to teams that deploy and operate them.
Create and automate deployment processes to increase quality and velocity.
Partner with internal customers to bring designs from concept to production.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of IP networking fundamentals and experience with IP protocols, network analysis, and troubleshooting.
5+ years working with major Internet routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, RSVP, and ISIS in a large enterprise environment.
5+ years with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS or Junos.
3+ years of Unix/Linux experience and scripting in Python, Perl or shell.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Science, MBA, or equivalent experience.
Senior or Lead Engineer experience at other organizations.
Expert‑level certifications (e.g., CCIE, JNCIE).
Expert‑level scripting or automation skills in a network environment.
Software development or programming experience.
