Regional Engineering Leader
The role involves providing technical knowledge and leadership in the areas of design for moldability/manufacturability, proof of principle, development, scale-up, and implementation of automated manufacturing lines.
You will be part of the Global Engineering team within Operations providing regional leadership for Supplier Manufacturing Management (SMM) EMEA. This crucial role supports delivering life-changing products to valued customers.
* Manage regional engineering teams providing technical guidance and leadership.
* Lead process technology assessments for proposed automation, molding, and process technologies with associated documentation and rationale.
* Provide technical leadership and support for installation, start-up, validation, and transfer of automated manufacturing equipment and processes.
* Guide and provide technical support to suppliers and internal teams ensuring adherence to sound engineering and operations practices throughout the supply chain.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Biomedical or related engineering discipline with a strong focus on medical device manufacturing, automated systems, and process technologies.
* Minimum 10 years experience in related fields including managing technical associates across diverse engineering skillsets – ie molding, automated assembly, process technology, packaging for medical devices.
* Strong technical leadership and collaborative skills required.
* Ability to travel to contract manufacturers, integrators, and/or manufacturing sites as necessary.
* Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement initiatives using LEAN, KAIZEN, and Six Sigma methodologies.
