Purpose of the Job
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Studio Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our onsite creative studio in Cork.
This role is responsible for ensuring smooth workflow, operational excellence and high-quality delivery across packaging, print, digital and marketing content.
Working closely with the Creative Lead and Senior Account Director, this role acts as the operational anchor of the studio, driving efficiency, building robust processes, identifying automation + AI opportunities, and maintaining a high-performing, well-supported team.
Key Responsibilities
Studio Operations
Own and manage the daily operational running of the onsite/offsite studio
Oversee workflow management, project prioritization and resource allocation across packaging, print, digital and marketing outputs
Provide strong operational partnership to the Creative Lead, ensuring creative teams are set up for success
Implement best-in-class studio processes and ways of working, adapting them as the studio evolves
Act as the primary point of contact for the client's day-to-day operational needs
Conduct regular internal studio audits to assess workflow efficiency, compliance, quality standards and operational risks, ensuring early identification of issues and continuous improvement opportunities
Efficiency, Automation and AI Integration
Identify opportunities to streamline workflow and reduce manual effort across the studio
Champion the use of automation tools, templating, and emerging AI solutions to drive speed, consistency and reduced operational overhead
Work with Content Studios Operations teams to deploy efficiency initiatives and measure impact
Project and Traffic Management
Oversee the Project Management team, ensuring they manage the end-to-end lifecycle of studio projects from briefing, scoping and scheduling to delivery
Ensure studio capacity is monitored, planned and communicated effectively
Maintain accurate and timely reporting on workflow, volumes, SLAs, utilization and performance
Monitor project risks and manage escalations effectively to ensure smooth delivery
Client Partnership
Build strong day-to-day relationships with client stakeholders
Ensure clarity of briefs, expectations, timelines and deliverables
Support the identification of growth opportunities through operational insight, improved delivery and proactive problem solving
Identify opportunities to promote and expand services that fall outside the existing studio scope, proactively flagging potential workstreams for the Content Studios and the Nuevo Growth and Development teams
Team and People Management
Manage studio team members, covering resourcing, wellbeing, performance, recruitment, onboarding and training
Foster a collaborative, supportive and high-performance culture within the studio
Partner the Content Studios Resourcing team to ensure the right expertise is available at the right time for overflow resourcing support
Quality Control and Compliance
Ensure best-practice quality standards across artwork, digital assets, packaging and marketing deliverables
Maintain strong file management and version-control processes
Ensure adherence to brand guidelines, legal requirements and regulatory compliance where relevant
Technology, Tools and Systems
Champion effective use of studio workflow systems
Partner with IT and the Content Studios Operations team to ensure licenses, access and software requirements are up to date
Review system data regularly and use insights to drive operational improvements
Stay up to date with emerging tools, technologies, automation capabilities and AI solutions relevant to packaging, artwork, digital production and studio operations, evaluating and recommending opportunities for improvement
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Proven experience managing a busy, multi-disciplinary studio environment (packaging, print and digital) _ understanding of packaging artwork and print production processes
Strong operational background with excellent planning, scheduling and workflow optimization skills
Experience running traffic systems, managing capacity and producing operational reporting
Excellent communicator with the confidence to work closely with client stakeholders and senior creatives
Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to remain calm under pressure
High attention to detail, with a commitment to continuous improvement
Ability to lead teams, manage performance and support wellbeing
Experience of working onsite at a client location and knowledge of retail environments and fast-moving marketing cycles would be ideal
Familiarity with automation tools, templating systems or AI-enabled creative workflows
