Overview Of Role

The Data Analyst will be responsible for extracting, analysing, and interpreting patient data from Electronic Health Records (EHRs) to inform service design

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


* Extract, clean, and analyse relevant patient-level data from internal electronic systems, including EHRs and health platforms.
* Work closely with clinical leads to co-design datasets and data collection
* Produce timely, visually compelling reports and presentations to inform strategic decisions and service design
* Ensure all work complies with GDPR, data protection policies, and ethical standards.
* Liaise with operational teams to ensure consistent and high-quality data capture.
* Contribute to the development of business cases for new or adapted services within the Institute.
* Participate in project evaluation and service scalability assessments.

Additional Information

The role is offered as a 6-month fixed term position to assess the strategic value of enhanced data analytics .

There may be an opportunity for extension or permanent employment based on outcomes and service growth

Qualifications & Experience

Essential Qualifications and Experience

* Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, public health, health informatics, computer science, statistics, or related discipline.
* Relevant experience in data analysis, public health intelligence, or applied health research.
* Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R, or similar).
* Ability to interpret and present complex data in a clear, accessible way for clinical and non-clinical audiences.
* Strong understanding of GDPR and healthcare data governance principles.

Desirable Criteria

* Experience in research.
* Experience in health economics, pathway modelling, or service innovation.
* Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
* Postgraduate qualification in data analytics, health economics, or epidemiology.
