Job Description
The successful Treasury Strategist will play a pivotal role in shaping the Group's treasury functions and investment activities, delivering high-quality data & analysis to inform sound decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in managing liquidity, cash flow, and banking relationships, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
* Monitor and assist in forecasting cash requirements and operational funding needs, providing actionable insights.
* Execute treasury transactions, including money market and foreign exchange activities, adhering to established risk management protocols.
* Prepare comprehensive liquidity and investment analysis and reporting, facilitating informed decision-making.
* Analyse financial data and trends to support strategic planning processes.
* Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and budgeting, driving accuracy and reliability.
* Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports on treasury and investment activities, ensuring transparency and accountability.
* Identify and assess financial risks related to treasury and investment activities, implementing mitigating strategies as needed.
* Monitor risk exposures against agreed limits and ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Implement agreed risk mitigation strategies and ensure adherence to company policies.
* Support the development and implementation of appropriate policies, including those related to liquidity, counterparties, concentration, interest rate risk, and FX risks.
* Contribute to maintaining a best practice treasury control environment.
* Lead on KYC and other relevant compliance processes.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Honours degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
* Professional qualifications (e.g. accounting or corporate treasury) are highly desirable.
* A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in treasury, investment management, or financial analysis.
* Proven expertise in data analysis and financial modelling.
* Familiarity with financial instruments, markets, investment strategies, and risk management.
* Understanding and practical experience of KYC and onboarding processes and in meeting compliance requirements of financial counterparties.
