Role OverviewAs the development lead for the Data and Reporting team, you will lead the team to deliver best‑in‑class technical solutions for Citi’s Futures and Clearing business. The role includes researching best practices, designing application architecture, delivering solutions, and working closely with business users, QA, BAs, and other development teams.ResponsibilitiesLead design and development of technical solutions for the data and reporting application utilizing best engineering practices.Contribute to technical direction and enhancement by providing in‑depth analyses to define problems and develop innovative solutions.Work closely with business users, stakeholders, BAs, product managers and other development teams to understand the problem space and brainstorm ideas, approaches, and solutions.Design and develop software applications using microservices cloud‑native architecture that is resilient, stateless, scalable, and testable with automation and reusability as key objectives.Contribute to CI/CD implementation using DevOps best practices based on industry and Citi standards.Work with key business SMEs to develop an in‑depth understanding of their critical data and reporting needs and the business impact of existing data quality issues.Demonstrate a data‑driven approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making, utilising metrics and performance indicators to assess team efficiency.Partner with the QA team to ensure a robust testing framework for functional and non‑functional testing.Partner with the Support team to ensure stability of the production environment with proactive monitoring and health checks.Partner with other Citi development teams to build APIs, integrations, and share components critical to the platform’s success.Exhibit strong leadership qualities, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, guiding and mentoring team members, and promoting continuous learning.QualificationsStrong experience designing and building enterprise applications and data architecture with engineering excellence.Hands‑on experience leading solution architecture and development, including front‑end web and back‑end application development with scalable data architecture.Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.Experience with front‑end, back‑end and infrastructure technologies such as Angular/React, Spring Boot/Cloud, and API.Experience with cloud‑native (AWS, Docker) and microservices paradigms.Experience with application security best practices (secret management, OAuth/PKI).Experience with DevOps practices such as CI/CD, testing frameworks, SOLID principles, CI/CD tooling, and automation of testing tools.Experience with Business Intelligence reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI) and API integration is a plus.Hands‑on development experience with traditional and modern data systems (relational/non‑relational databases, cloud/big data platforms, data catalogues and governance tools).Passion and commitment for adopting new technologies with an exploratory mindset.Experience as a technical lead for software development and implementation.Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.Innovative ideas and can‑do attitude to work under pressure.Experience in AI agent and automation development is a plus.Experience in financial services is a plus but not required.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.EducationBachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent experience.Location & CompensationJob location: Dublin, Ireland. Full‑time position.
