Senior Solutions Architect (Finance) - Contract
We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Solutions Architect to join the core technology team of a globally recognized leader in the financial sector. This client manages some of the most critical and complex risk platforms worldwide, and this role offers the chance to design mission‑critical applications within one of the most interesting and challenging areas of the business.
You will be instrumental in translating complex business challenges into robust, scalable, and secure technical solutions. You will serve as the bridge between compliance, engineering, and executive stakeholders, ensuring architectural integrity and delivery excellence across the platform.
1 year contract expected to roll/extend
3 days in Dublin based office, 2 days at home per week
Daily Rate: 500-650 per day
* 5+ years of progressive experience in a Solutions Architecture or equivalent senior design role.
* Deep expertise in microservices and SOA design, particularly within containerized environments.
* Proven experience designing and implementing high‑volume ETL/data processing pipelines.
* Experience architecting polyglot systems utilizing diverse database technologies, including RDBMS (e.g., SQL Server or PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (ideally MongoDB).
* Expertise with RESTful/GraphQL web APIs and designing resilient asynchronous communication flows (e.g., using Redis Streams, Kafka, or similar technologies).
* Exceptional stakeholder management, presentation, and diagramming skills (UML/Visio). Demonstrated ability to simplify and communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
