Business Development Manager We are currently recruiting a Business Development Manager on behalf of our engineering client in Dublin. This is a newly created which reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, offers an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to drive the growth of the BEMS and EPMS business by identifying, developing, and securing new opportunities. The primary focus of this role is to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and contractors, while delivering a consultative approach to the sale of BEMS solutions. The position requires a solid understanding of building services, energy management, and control systems, alongside demonstrated commercial acumen and strong relationship management skills. Responsibilities: Identify and develop new business opportunities for BEMS/EPMS installations, upgrades, and service contracts. Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, from lead generation to contract. Engage with end users, consultant, contractor, and developers to influence specification at early design stages. Prepare and deliver competing proposals, presentations and tenders aligned with client energy and compliance objectives. Strong negotiation skill to close sales in line with company targets Work closely with the engineers and delivery teams to develop technically sound and commercially viable BEMS/EPMS solutions. Understand and articulate the value of BEMS. Keep up to date with industry standards, legislations and emerging technologies in energy management and smart buildings. Develop long term relationships with key client and strategic partners. Act as a trusted advisor providing insight to the overall performance of the products. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer news. Contribute to sales strategy. Provie accurate sales forecasting and regular reporting to senior management. Developed a strong sales team. Key Requirements Experience in business development or sales within BEMS, BMS energy management or building services. Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Energy, Building Services or Business Relevant industry training in BMS/BEMS or energy management Inadept knowledge of building controls, HVAC systema ang energy performance Knowledge of energy regulations, sustainability frameworks, and carbon reporting Background in controls engineering, building services or energy consultancy. Track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets. Experience selling into data centre or pharmaceutical environments. Self-motivated and results driven. Experience with growing and leading a sales team. Strong problem-solving mindset Full clean driving licence and willing to travel through Europe.
