We are seeking a Director of Research Development who will provide strategic and senior operational leadership across the University's research support ecosystem, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, researcher-centred services throughout the entire research lifecycle.
The Director of Research Development provides senior operational leadership for the University's research support ecosystem, ensuring high-quality, researcher-centred services across the full research lifecycle.
Reporting to the Vice President for Research and Innovation, the Director leads the Research Development Office (RDO), embedding a customer-focused culture, supporting MU's national and international research ambitions, and delivering integrated, compliant, and efficient processes that enable academic success.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic and senior operational leadership across the University's research support ecosystem.
Ensure delivery of high-quality, researcher-centred services throughout the full research lifecycle.
Lead the Research Development Office (RDO) and embed a customer-focused culture.
Support Maynooth University's national and international research ambitions.
Deliver integrated, compliant, and efficient processes that enable academic success.
Report to the Vice President for Research and Innovation.
Salary
Senior Administrative Officer II (2025): €110,022 - €147,067 p.a.

Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
