Ealga Lodge Nursing HomeWe are currently recruiting general housekeeping assistants to join the existing team at the Ealga Lodge Nursing Home.Purpose of the RoleThe Housekeeper will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the location with regards to ensuring that a high standard of cleanliness is adhered to at all times.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for all aspects of cleaning within the home, such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning residents rooms, retaining excellent cleaning standards throughout the Nursing Home.Ensuring that all cleaning products/chemicals and equipment are used and stored appropriately.Assessing and confirming that all equipment/furnishings are in good repair and clean: reporting faults to managerDemonstrating a good manner when dealing with residents, family and visitorsAssisting with laundry including washing, ironing, and sorting clothes by nametagsEnsuring cleanliness and safety in the laundry areaMaintaining confidentiality at all timesBeing aware of all health and safety regulations, reporting hazards/potential hazards immediately.Ad hoc duties as requiredWhat are the skills/experience needed?Experience working in a similar role would be beneficial, but not essentialExperience working in a healthcare environment (with a good knowledge of HIQA standards) preferableExcellent communication skillsCan work independently or part of a teamMust be reliable & keep to schedule.Fluent level of English both written and oralJob Types: Full-time, Part-timeBenefits:On-site parkingExperience:similar: 1 year (preferred)Work Location: In person
