Flexsource are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Porter / Catering Assistant on behalf of our clients based in Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, hard‑working individual to join a fast‑paced kitchen team and support daily catering operations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
·Wash and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and general kitchen equipment to ensure a continuous supply during service.
·Keep kitchen areas, workstations, storage rooms, and food preparation spaces clean, tidy and safe at all times.
·Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping and organising ingredients as required.
·Dispose of food waste and recyclables correctly, following all waste‑handling and recycling procedures.
·Ensure all hygiene, sanitation, and health & safety standards are maintained in line with company and regulatory guidelines.
·Clean floors, walls, fridges, freezers, shelves and various kitchen appliances as part of routine or scheduled deep‑clean procedures.
·Assist with receiving deliveries, checking items, unpacking goods and organising stock in appropriate storage locations.
·Provide assistance to the kitchen team during busy periods, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
·Follow instructions from chefs and supervisors, work collaboratively with team members, and contribute to a positive kitchen environment.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in a kitchen porter or catering assistant role required
2. Valid Manual Handling certificate
3. Valid HACCP certificate
4. Good level of English (spoken and understanding)
5. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment
6. Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic

€14.15 per hour
