Job Summary
This role is responsible for managing financial reporting, compliance, and control across multiple entities in Ireland and the UK.
1. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring statutory and tax compliance, and providing high-quality financial insight to support operational performance and strategic decision-making.
2. A key responsibility of this role is to prepare complete and accurate monthly management accounts, manage month-end close processes, and support the preparation of annual statutory financial statements in line with Irish and UK accounting standards.
3. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise, commercial awareness, and leadership skills, with experience in financial reporting, auditing, and managing finance teams.
Requirements
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
* Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in a financial accounting or controller-level role
* Proven experience delivering full month-end accounts to completion
* Strong working knowledge of Irish and UK accounting standards and tax compliance
* Demonstrated experience managing multiple entities or sets of accounts concurrently
* Experience leading, managing, or supervising a finance team
* Proficient in accounting systems (e.g. Sage, Xero, or similar) and advanced Excel
