Job Title: Enforcement Officer Location: Based at Mossley Mill, with travel across Antrim & Newtownabbey Council areas Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week Duration: Temporary Salary:£16.37 per hour.
Plus 10% Flexibility Allowance£ 18.01 p/hr On behalf of our client, Apple Recruitment Service are recruiting Enforcement Officersto support the Environmental Health team within the Sustainability department.
Main Duties Include: Enforcing legislation related to: Dog licensing and control Litter, graffiti, and fly-tipping Tobacco control Abandoned vehicles Animal welfare Issuing fixed penalty notices and preparing case files Handling public enquiries and complaints Conducting patrols and community education activities Supporting legal proceedings and attending court when required Key Requirements: Minimum of 5 GCSEs including English (or 1+ year relevant experience as a substitute) Experience in enforcement, public engagement, or preparation of reports Confident communicator with strong IT skills Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload Full UK driving licence or suitable alternative due to disability Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and shift work Desirable: Experience working with dogs or in animal welfare Familiarity with relevant legislation (e.g.
Clean Neighbourhood and Environment Act, Dogs Order) Experience giving evidence in court Shift Information: The role operates on a 4-week rolling rota, covering early mornings, evenings, and one Saturday in every four.
Flexibility is essential, and appropriate PPE including uniform, body armour, and personal CCTV will be provided.
