General Manager Role Summary

">

The Irish Theatre Institute is seeking a General Manager to oversee the financial and strategic management, as well as the effective day-to-day operations of the organisation.

">

About the Job

">

We are looking for a senior leadership professional with experience in finance, operations or general management within the cultural or nonprofit sector. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience managing budgets, accounts, payroll, and audits, as well as strong organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

">

Key Responsibilities

">

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

">
">
* Financial planning and forecasting;
">
* Managing payroll, invoicing and VAT returns;
">
* Liaising with auditors and ensuring timely annual audits and compliance;
">
* Managing funding drawdown and reporting processes to all stakeholders;
">
* Governance compliance with the Charities Regulator and Companies Registration Office;
">
* Staff management, including HR processes, staff contracts, policies, leave, performance reviews and recruitment administration;
">
* Programme delivery, including supporting ITI's artist support programmes, working with the Programme Manager, Operations and Programme Co-ordinator and Playography Editor on programme delivery;
">
* Operations and facilities management, including overseeing Health & Safety compliance and the day-to-day running of ITI offices and facilities at 17 Eustace Street.

Requirements

">

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

">
">
* A minimum of 2–5 years' experience in finance, operations or general management within the cultural or nonprofit sector;
">
* Demonstrated experience managing budgets, accounts, payroll, and audits;
">
* Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
">
* Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills;
">
* Familiarity with compliance obligations for non-profits and/or arts organisations.
">
