Senior Design Engineer (Water
) on behalf of our client based in Co. Limerick.
The selected individual will work within a multi-disciplinary engineering team to progress Uisce Éireann projects from initial briefing through detailed design and on into construction.
The role requires a strong understanding of infrastructure project design and delivery, along with the ability to apply innovative and practical engineering solutions.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to high-profile infrastructure schemes while playing an important role in supporting our client's continued growth and success.
Responsibilities:
* Support the Design Manager in the mentoring, development, and performance of design team members.
* Lead assigned projects and oversee designated engineers, ensuring effective coordination, technical direction, and delivery.
* Prepare, review, and approve design documentation, providing expert technical input and guidance where necessary.
* Develop design solutions that give due consideration to safety, environmental impact, constructability, and commercial efficiency.
* Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team environment to achieve project objectives.
* Engage with clients and key stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships and ensure project requirements are clearly understood and met.
* Contribute to the planning and management of design programmes, ensuring milestones and deliverables are achieved on schedule and to the required quality standards.
* Undertake site visits and technical reviews to inform, validate, and refine design outputs.
* Identify and promote opportunities for innovation and sustainable design solutions.
* Support business development activities and contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the organisation.
Requirements:
* 7 years of experience working in a similar role on water projects.
* Ability to work collaboratively with relevant stakeholder developing design solutions.
* Ability to use own initiative, and problem solve.
* Strong communication skills with a high level of motivation.
