Sales Director Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Director to lead our sales and marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maximizing revenue and profitability while providing exceptional service to potential and existing clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and direct the day-to-day operations of the sales and marketing department.
* Conduct daily sales activities, including lead generation, face-to-face meetings, contract negotiations, site inspections, attendance at trade shows, client entertainment, and national and international sales trips.
* Perform monthly tracking of corporate accounts to assess production levels, identify any declines, and take corrective action as necessary.
* Identify and manage all Corporate and Consortia Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for the city, ensuring maximum participation from the hotels.
* Analyze GDS production reports and intelligence information to enhance business channel strategies.
* Focus on driving meeting and conference business into the hotel.
* Provide weekly and monthly reports on account performance and general activities to the General Manager and Central Office.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* 2 to 3 years of experience in a sales or marketing role, preferably in a hotel or customer-focused environment.
* A creative thinker with an outgoing personality, capable of building new relationships and maintaining existing ones.
* Proven experience in effective people management within a team environment.
* Sales-focused, target-driven, and results-oriented.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide clear reports to clients and colleagues.
* Confident, ambitious, and proactive in approach.
