We are working with a public sector organisation in Dublin that is looking to engage an experienced Senior Systems Administrator on an initial 3-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension to 6 months.
This is a hands-on, on-site role in a busy, operational environment, supporting core infrastructure while also contributing to a live systems upgrade programme.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and support VMware / ESXi environments
Administer Windows Server platforms (predominantly Windows, some Linux)
Support backup, endpoint protection and device management platforms
Work with Dell and HPE Aruba infrastructure
Resolve incidents and service requests within an Infrastructure team
Act as a technical point of contact for a vendor-led lab system upgrade
Produce and maintain technical documentation (systems, data flows, dependencies)
Provide firewall and connectivity requirements to the network team
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience in enterprise Windows infrastructure
Hands-on VMware / ESXi administration
Experience with Veeam, Defender for Endpoint and Intune
Familiarity with ManageEngine (ServiceDesk, Endpoint Central, Ops Manager)
Experience working in busy, on-prem environments
Ability to work on-site and collaborate with infrastructure, network and vendor teams
