The Clinical Nurse Specialist (Neurology) will be part of the multidisciplinary team involved in the delivery and development of Neurology services at Wexford General Hospital and in collaboration with Integrated Care colleagues.The Clinical Nurse Specialist (Neurology) will be responsible for the delivery of care in line with the five core concepts of the role set out in the Framework for the Establishment of Clinical Nurse Specialist Posts, 4thedition, National Council for the Professional Development of Nursing and Midwifery (NCNM) 2008.Clinical Nurse Specialist (Neurology) will focus initially on the following patient groups; patients who present with;StrokeEpilepsyHeadacheDementiaParkinson's DiseaseMultiple SclerosisMotor neuron DiseasePeriperal NeuropathyMyasththenia GravisMuscular DystrophyThe Clinical Nurse Specialist will manage and coordinate patient care both as an in-patient and as an out-patient and will report to the relevant Director of Nursing and the relevant Assistant Director of Nursing.Please see attached job specification for full details of the role.Ensure to use Google Chrome when completing your application form.
