Junior GP Liaison - UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic Dublin
Location: UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic, Santry, Dublin 9
Job type: 12-Month Fixed-Term Full-time Contract of Employment
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
To answer calls from dedicated GP line and be the first point of contact for the GP.
To respond to faxes and emails via the GP email and fax.
To interact with GPs and their staff to organise appointments for their patients within an agreed time scale.
Respond to any concerns from GPs and their practices.
To build up relationships with new GP practices and strengthen and cultivate those practices who currently use the GP line and refer in.
To promote the use of the GP line.
To take calls from main reception from patients/ doctors enquiring regarding a referral to consultant/speciality.
To take calls from GPs who are unable to make contact with consultants secretaries.
To maintain records and statistics on those using the GP line giving monthly feedback.
To be involved in auditing process within the hospital.
Working closely with marketing and business development to target GP's.
Good knowledge of the clinic and services offered and Consultants/Sports Medicine and Specialities.
Works closely with Business Development to maximise attendance at GP events and conferences.
Reports and follows up all queries in a professional and timely manner.
Complies with all SSCs policies and procedures.
Performs additional duties i.e. audit collection.
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience:
The post holder must have previous healthcare experience.
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a changing environment.
Ability to undertake out of hours work when required.
Excellent communication and team working skills.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Excellent IT skills, experience in using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email etc.
Self starter with initiative and drive and an ability to think creatively and laterally.
