A leading Principal Contractor is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to oversee health, safety, and environmental performance across large-scale, technically complex projects.
This role will be site-based in Dublin for one of our long standing clients looking to recruit people into their Ireland teams, this role is suitable for somebody looking to relocate to Ireland.
The client is a leading Irish contractor with offices in Dublin and Cork, operating nationwide across several sites in Ireland. The business was established in 1950 and is recognised as one of Irelands prominent construction companies. They pride themselves on a strong focus on quality, long term relationships, customer service and Health & safety.

The H&S Manager will play a key part in ensuring compliance, driving best practice, and embedding a strong safety culture across multi-disciplinary project teams
Key Responsibilities
Take full responsibility for Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) management across assigned data centre sites
Act on behalf of the Principal Contractor under CDM 2015, supporting the delivery team in meeting statutory duties
Develop, implement, and continuously improve H&S policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans
Lead site inspections, audits, and compliance reviews across all trades and subcontractors
Review, challenge, and approve subcontractor RAMS, permits to work, and method statements
Lead investigations into incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts, ensuring corrective actions are implemented
Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing H&S training
Liaise directly with clients, designers, subcontractors, and enforcing authorities
Monitor KPIs, produce H&S reports, and contribute to project and board-level reviews
Promote behavioural safety and a proactive, positive safety culture on site
Essential Requirements
Proven experience working as a Health & Safety Manager for a Principal Contractor
Demonstrable experience delivering data centre projects (critical requirement)
In-depth knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and UK health & safety legislation
NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum)
Experience managing H&S across complex, multi-trade construction environments
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to operate autonomously on large, live construction sites
Desirable
NEBOSH Construction Certificate or Diploma
IOSH xyswxtq membership (TechIOSH / GradIOSH / CMIOSH)
Background in major projects, critical environments, or M&E-heavy schemes
Experience working on high-value or mission-critical developments
