We're seeking a reliable, hard-working Kitchen Assistant to support our Chefs and help deliver nutritious, well-presented meals for our residents every day.
What you'll do
* Assist with food preparation, basic cooking, plating, and meal service.
* Support special dietary requirements (textures, allergens) under Chef supervision.
* Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness (wash-up, floors, equipment).
* Complete HACCP records, temperature checks, and stock rotation (FIFO).
* Receive deliveries and store goods safely and efficiently.
* Work closely with nursing and care teams to ensure mealtimes run smoothly.
* Engage with residents courteously, protecting dignity, choice, and safety.
What you'll need
* Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, catering, or hospitality setting.
* Working knowledge of food safety/HACCP (Food Safety Level 2 or willingness to complete).
* Strong teamwork, time-management, and communication skills.
* Flexibility to work shifts including some weekends and bank holidays.
* Right to work in Ireland and ability to pass Garda Vetting & reference checks.
* Manual Handling certificate (or willingness to complete on commencement).
