OverviewSenior Recruitment Consultant at Methodius Ltd. My client, a long established multinational utility contractor in maintenance and construction of Electrical and Telecommunications infrastructure, is looking to hire a Tendering Electrical Engineer to join their team. Hybrid role with flexibility on location in Ireland; multiple offices across the country.The electrical engineer will work on major Power, Renewable & Substation project tenders. You will manage all electrical engineering requirements and deliverables on substation and renewable tender submissions, ensuring compliance with client/Eirgrid/ESB tender specifications.ResponsibilitiesFunction as a Tendering Electrical Engineer within the Tendering Team.Review project employer requirements, specifications, preliminary drawings and calculations.Own electrical engineering tender requirements as part of the tender submission.Identify risk and mitigate; understand the commercial fundamentals of a project and tender submission.Collaborate with the tendering team, operations, engineering and commercial teams to prepare tender submissions.Coordinate electrical, civil, cable and OHL engineering interfaces during the tender process.Engage with equipment vendors, design consultants and other third parties; review offers for technical compliance and commercial competitiveness.Contribute to the tender program and engineering budget from an engineering and electrical design perspective.Ensure compliance with relevant standards/regulations.Support Business Development and client liaison as required.Contribute as part of a multidisciplinary design team and take responsibility for tender electrical outputs.Support operations and project teams with handover of a successful tender.Keep up to date on innovative technologies and build techniques to improve cost and schedule performance.QualificationsEducation: Degree in Electrical Engineering.Experience: 3+ years in substations, high & medium voltage, and renewables projects.Tendering: Experience of the tendering process and producing technical tender submissions.Sector knowledge: Knowledge of the substation, utilities, and renewables sector.Tools: Experience with AutoCAD and ePlan.Standards: Knowledge of ESB/Eirgrid specifications & design requirements (advantage).Skills: Good comprehension of design/construction interfacing, client-facing, communication and organizational skills.BenefitsCompetitive salary.23 days annual leave.Tablet & Mobile.Opportunity to progress your career within a growing company.Pension after probation, LAYA Healthcare,Employee Assistance Programme, Health Insurance Discount, Life Assurance.Standard industry training provided.Location & TravelOffice-based position with hybrid options; offices in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Kerry, Kilkenny, Waterford and other locations.
