Cox's Garage are currently recruiting an Autobody Repairer to join the team. Cox's Garage has been in business for over 20 years in Mayo and specialise in crash repairs, sales and servicing of all vehicles including electric vehicles.This job entails working in a very busy workshop with a steady stream of cars entering and exiting on a daily basis and you must be capable of producing quality work in this very busy and fast paced environment.Job Roles:Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, filling, masking, and priming surfaces.Inspect vehicles thoroughly to identify any imperfections or damage that require repair.Repair minor dents, scratches, and other surface imperfections.Mix and match paint colours to achieve the desired finish and maintain consistency.Apply primers, basecoats, and clear coats using spray guns and other necessary painting equipment.Use paint blending and feathering techniques to ensure smooth transitions between repaired and original areas.Ensure proper paint adhesion and coverage while minimizing overspray and waste.Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.Work collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets company standards.Keep the workshop, tools, and equipment clean and organised.Requirements:In-depth knowledge of paint mixing, matching, and application methods.Skilled in using spray guns, sanders, and other automotive painting tools and equipment.Experience with different paint systems, including both water-based and solvent-based paints.Ability to read and understand paint codes and technical specifications.High attention to detail, with the ability to work precisely to achieve perfect finishes.Exceptional colour perception and a strong ability to match colours accurately.Job Type: Full-timePay: From €13.50 per hourBenefits:On-site parkingWork Location: In person
