As a
Senior Backend Software Engineer
, you'll be a key driver of this mission, designing and scaling the platform that powers thousands of workflows and data models.
You'll shape our AI Assistant, APIs, workflow engine, permissions, security model, and integrations, ensuring performance, reliability, and a great product experience for customers.

What You'll Be Doing
Building the backend for various user-facing features
Optimise client APIs and services
Improve database and infrastructure performance by implementing caching solutions and optimising data queries.
Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting for our service so that we can better respond to operational incidents
Scale our service via architectural changes as well as infrastructure improvements
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Adding more tools/logic to our AI Assistant to let our users interact with the Noloco platform through our chat-based assistant
Improve our Native data tables by adding support for new field types, or new performance improvements
Lead integrations with additional data sources like databases and other software tools to open up new channels and possibilities
Extending Noloco's workflows and automations to allow customers to seamlessly integrate their other tools and automate their manual workflows
Scaling the platform to meet customer growth
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
Have significant experience (4+ years) in engineering scalable, multi-tenant environments
Previous experience in either AWS ECS, Docker, Lambas
Experience in React.js/GraphQL is a plus
Deep understanding of data design and modelingBuilt and worked on complex web applications

Data synchronisation systems for syncing customer data with 3 rd party data sources

Where will you work?
In short, remote in Ireland ????, or hybrid from Barcelona ????.
At Noloco we're remote-first although the current team is split between Dublin ???? & Barcelona ????.
We put a lot of effort into making our remote culture work and meet up in person regularly, with at least one annual offsite to help everyone get to know each other.
We're building out our Engineering team across Barcelona and Ireland, so we're open to either location.
