Employment Adviser (Ballina) 9 month maternity leave cover
Due to our continued success in the National Employment service, we are recruiting an Employment Adviser to join our team for a 9-month maternity leave cover.
You can become an Employment Adviser if you have excellent customer service skills from backgrounds such as sales, recruitment, hospitality, or roles involving advising and guidance.
We provide comprehensive on-the-job training, so we are not looking for someone who ticks every box, but for someone with an engaging personality, who can create a warm, welcoming environment, and solve problems to help our customers find sustainable employment.
This role offers an opportunity to utilize your skills to influence, support, and motivate others in building their future.
Employment Advisers provide motivational support, career advice, and guidance, making clients feel comfortable and confident. They run training workshops on topics like CV writing and online job searching, assess skills and ambitions, and explore learning and employment opportunities, acting as intermediaries with local employers.

Location: Ballina
Hours: 37.5 hours/week, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. This is a 9-month maternity leave cover.

Key Responsibilities
* Assess individual client needs and develop personal progression plans
* Meet regularly with clients to review progress
* Support clients throughout their engagement with us
* Deliver exceptional customer service at all times
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
* Leaving Certificate or equivalent (a third-level degree is desirable but not essential)
* At least one year of experience in recruitment, sales, training, or customer-facing roles
* Experience working in target-driven environments
* Ability to multitask, organize, and manage workload effectively
* Positive, proactive attitude towards problem-solving
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
