Production Scheduler Role
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Production Scheduler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing detailed production schedules that align with manufacturing goals and customer demands.
The Production Scheduler will ensure that schedules are accurate, realistic, and align with agreed interdepartmental timelines. They will also be responsible for ensuring efficient resource utilization and minimizing production downtime.
The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as exceptional organizational and time management skills. A high degree of attention to detail is required to ensure accurate scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and manage detailed production schedules that align with manufacturing goals and customer demands.
2. Ensure that schedules are accurate, realistic, and align with agreed interdepartmental timelines.
3. Ensure efficient resource utilisation and minimise production downtime.
4. Work in ERP system to open production Work Orders.
5. Work closely with Engineering to provide maintenance windows whilst maximising productivity.
6. Coordinate with various departments to ensure that all necessary resources (materials, equipment, personnel) are available to meet production targets.
7. Identify potential bottlenecks and proactively address them.
8. Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production schedules.
9. Lead local on-site Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP) process.
10. Participate in and represent site at regional S&OP.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, business administration, or a related field is required. Extensive relevant experience may negate degree requirements.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in production scheduling and planning within a GMP-regulated environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
* Proficiency in MS Excel is essential.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. The ability to analyse complex data and make informed decisions to optimise production schedules.
* Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
* A high degree of attention to detail is required to ensure accurate scheduling.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
