Job Description
The Pet Care Assistant is responsible for maintaining the safety and well‑being of pets while owners are away. Duties include:
* Visiting pet owners' homes on a regular basis as agreed, following Pet Sitters Ireland protocols.
* Managing the usual care routine for an animal.
* Ensuring the premises remain safe and secure.
* Communicating with the pet owner via email/internet to provide updates.
This is a self‑employed, part‑time opportunity requiring the candidate to manage their own Tax and PRSI returns.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
* No minimum experience required.
* Reliable, trustworthy with own transport.
* Internet/email access and a smartphone.
Desirable
* Communications and customer service skills.
* Flexibility and time management.
* Specializing in pet care.
