Job Summary
We are seeking an accomplished leader to oversee our warehousing and logistics operations for Grocery and Textiles businesses. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex supply chain networks, driving cost savings, and implementing digital transformation initiatives.
About the Role
The Head of 3PL Operations, Grocery and Textiles will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving our warehousing and logistics strategies. This includes owning and managing relationships with third-party logistics providers, leading a diverse team, and building strong cross-functional relationships with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Own, manage, and optimize day-to-day operational relationships with third-party logistics providers across both Textiles and Grocery businesses.
* Design, drive, and deliver industry-leading warehousing operational performance from third-party logistics providers to Dunnes Stores' store network and e-commerce customer base.
* Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance service levels in transportation and reverse logistics.
* Lead and build a high-performing team across the warehousing and logistics function.
* Cultivate and maintain close relationships with Directors responsible for Grocery, Textiles, and Store Operations.
* Translate commercial sales plans into operational warehousing strategies, including promotional or launch volume planning, and mitigate risks associated with high-demand or constrained products.
* Support sustainability and compliance goals through efficient transport, packaging, and supplier management practices in logistics.
Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
* 15+ years of experience running warehousing and logistics for a large, fast-moving, and high-SKU complexity business with seasonal and category-specific dynamics.
* Experience in managing and optimizing logistics 3PLs and/or company-owned distribution facilities, including contract design and retail experience.
* Proven ability to lead and build high-performing teams, with successful experience in setting up organizations and teams.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization and with supply chain partners.
* Ability to make clear and concise decisions in a timely manner, particularly in fluid and ambiguous situations.
* Execution skill, with the ability to energize others to strive to regularly exceed expectations, even under adverse circumstances.
* Strong analytical and solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to translate company strategy to divisional strategy and results.
* Experience with fulfillment technology, warehouse management systems (WMS), transport management systems (TMS), and e-commerce platforms.
* Leadership capabilities, including inspiring leaders who develop and coach diverse talents and experiences to contribute to overall strategy.
