The Quality Patient Safety (QPS) Advisor supports service areas in ensuring that a safe quality service is provided to service users within IHAs Mid West.
As part of the QPS Advisor's role they will typically engage with:
• Service Managers
• Community Healthcare Network Managers
• Nurse Managers
• General Managers
• Persons in Charge
• HSPC/Discipline Leads
• Heads of Service
Work with the Quality Safety & Service Improvement Department to develop, deliver, implement and evaluate a comprehensive quality and safety programme with associated structures, policies and processes to improve the quality and safety of services within the Community Services, Integrated Health Areas of Limerick, Clare and North Tipperary
To drive core programmes of work in quality, safety and risk management, including: quality improvement
• patient safety and service improvement
• risk management
• incident management including the facilitation of incident reviews
• supporting and advising services in relation to compliance with regulations and the implementation of national standards
• supporting services in the implementation of recommendations from inspection reports, reviews and audits
• promoting service user and community involvement in improving services.
