Part-time Company Accountant (3 days a week) Reporting to Managing Director Please note - this role is Fully Onsite Job Purpose The Company Accountant will manage all financial activities, ensuring accuracy in recording transactions, providing timely management information to support decision-making, and maintaining strict compliance with tax regulations. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical skills and an ability to improve internal processes for a growing SME. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis, to be presented to senior management. Month-End/Year-End: Lead the month-end closing process, including reconciliations of bank, debtor, creditor, and intercompany accounts. Compliance & Tax: Manage VAT, PAYE/PRSI returns, and ensure compliance with Irish Revenue requirements. Prepare files for annual statutory audit. Accounts Function Management: Oversee AP/AR, ensuring timely supplier payments and customer collections. Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare annual budgets, cash forecasts, and monthly expenditure analysis. Process Improvement: Identify areas for efficiency improvements in financial systems, including digital accounting software. Payroll: Oversee or process weekly/monthly payroll, including deductions and compliance. Candidate Requirements Qualification: Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA) or a finalist/ strong part-qualified accountant with 2+ years of relevant experience. Experience: Previous experience in an SME or a, fast-paced environment is essential. Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge of Irish accounting standards and tax requirements.
