Offer description

We are seeking a Senior Power Architect to join our electrical engineering team. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the power architecture of next-generation hardware, ensuring high product quality standards and driving continuous innovation and improvement.

This senior member of the Power Engineering team will lead the development and validation of advanced power solutions for new product development and sustaining efforts. As a subject matter expert in power electronics, they will guide the design, optimization, and testing of power systems, while providing mentorship to junior engineers.

This role demands technical leadership in problem-solving, with ownership of power design challenges from root cause analysis through to solution implementation. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams and thought leaders across multiple technology domains, striving to improve product performance, quality, and cost.


Key Job Responsibilities

* Lead and Own System Power Architecture and Power Solution Accordingly
* System Power Development from RFQ to MP
* Hands-On for Power Circuit Design, Study, Build, and Verification
* Write or Contribute to Development of Test Specifications, Criteria, and Procedures
* Hands-On to Find Root Cause, and a Solution or Workaround for Bugs
* Second-Source Qualification, Cost-Down Task
* Support for Sustaining Engineering


Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

* Experience in Developing Functional Specifications, Design Verification Plans, and Functional Test Procedures
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or Equivalent Experience
* 7+ Years of Electrical Engineering Experience Specifically in Power Electronics
* Experience in Designing, Testing, and Debugging Power Electronics such as AC/DC and DC/DC Power Conversion, Switching Power Supplies, Driver Circuits, and Battery Systems
* Experience in Optimizing Power Consumption for Battery Life

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Equivalent
* Experience Working with Interdisciplinary Teams to Execute Product Design from Concept to Production
* Experience with Project Management of Technical Projects
* Experience Designing or Testing Products for Safety, Compliance, and Regulatory Standards
* Experience in Working with Overseas CM/OEM/ODM Vendors in Product Development
* In-Depth Experience in Doorbell, Camera, and Other IoT Product Development
* Knowledge of IoT Infrastructure Constraints Including Power Tree, Power Budget, and Battery Life Estimation
* Ability to Apply Critical Thinking in Complex Situations; Experience Working in Cross-Functional Groups Including Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Test, Reliability, and Failure Analysis
* Cross-Organizational Communication – Comfortable Evangelizing Ideas and Concerns Clearly and Persuasively, in Both Verbal and Written Forms
* Experience with Power, Performance, and Cost Optimization
