Key Requirements Level 8 degree in Computer-Aided Design, Industrial Design, or a related engineering discipline Ideally 35 years experience in a manufacturing or production environment Advanced proficiency in Solid Works modelling (Certified Solid Works Professional (CSWP) preferred skills testing will form part of the interview process) Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Experience in composite RTM manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication is a distinct advantage, but not essential Proficiency in Product Data Management (PDM) systems Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Experience with Solid Works Visualize or similar photorealistic rendering software Key Responsibilities: Design & Innovation Design and develop user-centric products to enhance functionality and user experience Explore emerging trends and technologies, supporting R&D initiatives and ongoing projects Develop new access solutions using Solid Works Design mould tools, sheet metal components, and other manufacturing aids Project Collaboration Provide CAD support to the wider engineering team Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure accuracy of Bills of Materials, costings, and product data within the ERP system Maintain ownership of the product database, including version control and revision management using PDM Flexibility & Delivery Work across multiple projects from concept through to production Support additional design and engineering projects as required This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and technically strong Manufacturing Engineer to contribute to the design and development of innovative, user-focused products while working closely with engineering, R&D, and production teams.
