GemPool Recruitment is hiring for an experienced Database Administrator to join a leading fintech organisation developing cutting-edge, cloud-based financial platforms.You'll work within a collaborative engineering environment, ensuring high database performance, security, and reliability across production and non-production systems.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain PostgreSQL RDS databases across cloud environments.Monitor database performance, security, and availability.Provide Level 1 & 2 support, resolving database incidents and queries.Optimize SQL queries and database structures for speed and efficiency.Automate DBA tasks using Bash or Python scripts.Collaborate with developers and DevOps to ensure smooth integrations.Skills & Qualifications5+ years' experience in PostgreSQL database administration or similar role.Strong understanding of SQL tuning, indexing, and performance optimization.Knowledge of Linux command-line and scripting (Bash/Python).Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).Experience in financial or high-transaction environments is a plus.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.If you feel like this role is suitable for you please apply or reach out to
