My client are a well-established and growing Cork-based accountancy practice with a diverse client base including SMEs, sole traders, and high-net-worth individuals.
The Role:
We’re looking for a motivated Tax Accountant to join our team. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory services, working across a range of sectors. Ideal for someone looking to grow within a supportive and progressive practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and review income tax, corporation tax & VAT returns
* Advise clients on personal, corporate, and capital taxes
* Support tax planning assignments (e.g. restructuring, succession planning, R&D reliefs)
* Liaise with Revenue and manage client queries/audits
* Collaborate with audit/accounts teams on integrated client services
* Mentor junior staff and keep up to date with tax legislation
Requirements:
* ACA/ACCA/CPA qualified (or equivalent); tax practice experience essential
* Ideally hold or be working towards tax exams (e.g. CTA)
* 2+ years' experience in a practice-based tax role
* Strong technical knowledge of Irish tax legislation
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Proficient in ROS and tax/accounting software
