The Group is experiencing significant growth driven by its focus on off‑site construction methods (OSM) for delivering turnkey projects, reducing on‑site construction time to a minimum.
The opportunity
As Whitewater Group continues to expand internationally across multiple markets, we are seeking a QA/QC Engineer to support the delivery of quality assurance and quality control activities across complex mechanical and electrical projects within critical infrastructure and data centre environments.
This role will provide hands‑on inspection support to ensure alignment with the OSM build programme, working closely with the Lead QA/QC Engineer to execute daily inspection activities, including ITPs, tagging processes, NCR tracking, and documentation submissions. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining quality standards across fabrication and module stages, as well as supporting on‑site inspections and handover activities when modules are delivered to client sites.
The role requires a proactive and detail‑oriented engineer who can work across multiple disciplines and subcontractors, ensuring consistent quality control, compliance, and accurate documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
Carry out walkdown inspections at key build milestones across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works
Support the tagging process, maintaining accurate tag status records throughout the build
Execute ITPs and maintain complete quality records throughout the project lifecycle
Raise, track, and close out NCRs
Review vendor and subcontractor documentation and manage submissions
Support FAT activities, including witnessing testing, snagging, and close‑out
Travel to client sites post‑delivery to support on‑site inspections and handover
Qualifications and experience
Minimum 3 years’ hands‑on QA/QC experience in an inspection role
Mechanical and electrical walkdown and inspection experience
Experience with tagging processes in data centres or critical infrastructure
Experience executing ITPs and raising NCRs on live projects
Exposure to multi‑subcontractor and multi‑discipline environments
Data centre MEP, OSM, or manufacturing experience preferred
Level 7/8 degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering, or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
Mechanical inspections including pressure testing, pipework, and valve inspections
Electrical inspections including cable inspections, termination checks, and loop checks
Review and QA of mechanical and electrical testing documentation prior to client submission
Familiarity with tagging processes and asset tracking
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for trackers and quality registers
Experience with SharePoint for document control and collaboration
Procore experience (Inspections, Submittals, Documents modules) advantageous
Familiarity with FAT and commissioning activities advantageous
Methodical, detail‑oriented, and well organised under pressure
Able to work independently once direction is provided
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working across multiple teams and disciplines
Willingness to travel within Europe for short‑term project assignments
Full clean driving licence
