Overview
TheStrategy & Transformation team focuses on driving the strategic direction of PGCS, accelerating our business transformation through world class capabilities, processes and strategic thinking supporting and enabling growth and innovation across PepsiCo. Our S&T team has 3 distinct areas of responsibility: Strategy Development, Strategy Enablement or the Project Portfolio Management Office; Strategy Execution. The function comprises of a high performing team of portfolio leads, project managers and change managers.
The candidate will work in rotation so you will get to experience the different types of roles and responsibilities across the S&T team.
Responsibilities
Strategy Development
* Support the Strategy Lead on determining the value and merit of key strategic initiatives driving the growth and competitive advantage of PGCS.
* Development and collation of assets and material in support of our “Strategic story-telling”.
* Supporting development of strategic white papers (as applicable).
* Attend Strategy workshops (as they occur) and facilitate capturing of decisions/ actions/next steps from these workshops.
Strategy Enablement
* Support Project Portfolio Management Office to ensure project management best practises are followed and required reporting is delivered.
* Ensure project managers are following the PM process, including use of PM tools, and meeting required cadence of reporting etc.
* Collate information required for Project Approval meetings and Senior Leadership updates.
* Support the Project Management community of practice through engagement with project managers via Viva Engage, supporting practice meetings, maintaining the NextGen intranet site and providing guidance on tools and methods.
Strategy Execution
* Support Portfolio Leads who work with each business function to ensure the projects they prioritise and execute are in accordance with PGCS strategic priorities, and deliver the benefits which they propose.
* Prepare for Portfolio meetings including timely collation of data and presentations; ensuring projects remain in scope, on schedule and within budget.
* Collaborate with Capability Leads and Project Managers in each business function to ensure their deliverables are complete on the Clarity PM system, and to the standard required for reporting and decision making for missing inputs.
* Support the portfolio leads with one or more projects at risk (as applicable) allowing opportunities to gain exposure and understanding of Project Management methodologies and processes in a professional environment.
* Assist portfolio leads, Capability Leads and project managers with identifying, managing and resolving portfolio and project risks and issues.
* Attend workshops (as they occur) and facilitate capturing of decisions/actions/next steps from these workshops.
Qualifications
* Third level qualification in business strategy a bonus.
* Proficient Computer skills: MS Office specifically MS Excel, Powerpoint & Power BI.
