Looking for a challenging opportunity in technical support? We have an exciting opening for a Breakdown Support Engineer to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals with experience in coordinating day-to-day operations, providing technical assistance, and managing customer equipment breakdowns.
* Coordinate the day-to-day operations of our service department ensuring seamless execution and efficient use of resources.
* Provide expert technical support to field service engineers and customers via phone, email, or on-site visits.
* Manage and resolve customer equipment breakdowns in a timely manner minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
* Liaise with key stakeholders to source support, parts, and schematics ensuring timely resolution of issues.
* Maintain and update RAMS documentation for customer portals ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Manage calibration instruments and service documentation ensuring up-to-date information and accessibility.
* Update machinery records in our software management system ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
* Collaborate with our team on service schedules and contribute to operational planning and budgeting ensuring alignment with business goals.
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field demonstrating strong foundation in engineering principles and practices.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment with proven track record of success in technical support roles.
* Familiarity with plastics machinery and ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
* Previous experience in a maintenance or service-focused role with excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
