Job Title:
A Plant Mechanic with a passion for equipment repair and maintenance is required to perform various tasks including the servicing, repair and upkeep of plant machinery.
* Maintenance, inspection and repairs of heavy plant machinery
* Working knowledge of leading brands such as Komatsu, Caterpillar, Vogele and JCB
* Diagnostics and on-site or workshop-based repairs
* Predetermined schedule implementation for planned preventative maintenance schedules in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills coupled with excellent communication abilities. They must be proficient in performing routine checks on machines. Regularly scheduled service work should not present any issues to them. Mechanical aptitude along with troubleshooting skills are also highly desirable features which can enhance their chances of success within this role.
1. Candidates need to effectively inspect vehicles before they start operating ensuring that all necessary safety precautions are followed at all times while working around large pieces of moving equipment like bulldozers excavators etc. Safety protocols when dealing directly interacting physically touch handling areas would give additional advantage allowing safe passage through tight spaces needing more hand-eye coordination proficiency amongst others related duties carried out efficiently during daily operations
