Overview
We currently have an exciting opening for a Senior Product Development Manager within our Product Development Team. The role focuses on driving the development of retail investment solutions (Funds and Insurance) to provide innovative solutions across traditional and alternative asset classes for a predominantly retail client base. The role involves researching and interpreting competitor offerings and market trends, and working with external investment partners, our internal investment team, distributors and other key partners to ensure a robust and competitive offering of investment solutions following our proprietary MedInSynC, Product Development Process.
The role is suited to someone with experience in product management, product development, market intelligence or research in an asset management environment and offers an excellent opportunity to join a top-tier Asset Manager in Dublin.
Responsibilities
* Utilise internal and external data sources (e.g., 3rd party databases such as Broadridge, Morningstar) and partners to build a picture of market/competitor trends and client needs to support product development and evolution, ensuring relevant conclusions are derived from outputs.
* Meet regularly with investment partners to develop productive relationships, investigate, evaluate, compile and summarise investment ideas with a view towards identifying potential new product launches, evolving existing solutions and uncovering relevant market intelligence.
* Assist with organising periodical distributor workshops structured to reach a consensus on future product launches and knowledge on market trends.
* Ensure the company maintains a competitive offering in the marketplace and voice opportunities to maintain competitiveness.
* Demonstrate executive presence to drive and challenge other internal teams, including the investments team.
* Develop the organisation’s analytics capability and use of existing reporting tools as they relate to proprietary client data and databases, to identify behavioural triggers for future commercial products or services.
* Develop the proprietary product development process MedInSynC, and streamline existing processes to encompass evolving commercial and regulatory requirements.
* Provide ongoing feedback, regular coaching and mentoring to team members.
* Build and maintain inputs to enable actionable product development insights using subscribed databases (Broadridge, Morningstar, Mercer) and leading industry sources (Citywire, Ignites Europe, Fund Radar, Funds Europe).
* Undertake competitor research at industry, firm and strategy levels; evaluate and recommend optimal products to prioritise for promotion, considering anticipated market trends.
* Pro-actively recommend alterations/improvements to evolve the existing product family.
* Collaborate with investments, distributors and other key stakeholders to ensure a robust and driven offering of products.

* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Knowledge of Morningstar/Broadridge is an advantage.
Qualifications and Experience
* A demonstrable track record in a related investment industry field with 7-10 years of relevant work experience (e.g., product management, product development, market intelligence or research).
* Good knowledge of Investment Markets; main asset classes, return drivers, risk, manager styles, managed solutions.
* Demonstrable knowledge of UCITS and/or other industry regulations (AIFMD, ELTIFS, Insurance).
