Job Title: Senior Automation Engineer
We are hiring for a Senior Automation Engineer to support our client, a global pharmaceutical leader based in Dublin. Our client is driving site-wide automation projects with a strong pipeline of control system migrations and upcoming automation initiatives.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an expert team delivering cutting-edge engineering solutions across the site. The Senior Automation Engineer will play a key role in managing control system upgrades, representing the client across the project lifecycle, and supervising vendor-led activities.
The initial focus will be on full-time onsite work to embed within the team and gain a clear understanding of the client's operations. There will be potential for hybrid working once established in the role.

The Role:
* Oversee and support multiple ongoing control system migrations (primarily Rockwell; some Siemens and Schneider)
* Supervise automation vendor activities across FES, quotation, project execution, FAT, commissioning, and SAT
* Work closely with the site team to validate and sign off each stage of the migration and project delivery process
* Contribute to wider VPE (Vaccines, Pharmaceutical, Enzymes) automation projects, including skids and panel upgrades (e.g., S7-1500 & WinCC)
* Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest technical standards
The Person:
* Degree qualified in Engineering, Automation, or a relevant discipline
* 5+ years' experience in an automation-focused role within pharmaceutical or highly regulated industries
* Familiar with Rockwell (RSLogix/Studio 5000), Siemens S7, and Schneider control platforms
* Proven experience in system migrations and project supervision
* Strong communication and vendor management skills
* Ideally based near Dublin or within a commutable distance to Grange Castle
