Following a period of significant international growth, they are establishing a dedicated EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) subsidiary in Ireland.We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer who is a "doer" at heart—someone with deep technical expertise who is excited to be a founding member of the Irish engineering team.
You will be the primary electrical authority for utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects, helping the business transition from an agile startup phase to an established market leader.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & ComplianceIrish Grid Authority: Act as the principal point of contact for Eir Grid and ESB, ensuring all projects meet rigorous Irish Grid Code and safety regulations.Design & Review: Prepare and approve complex electrical designs, including AC/DC/HV/LV equipment, protection systems, and cable sizing.Substation Oversight: Lead the technical interface for the design, construction, and commissioning of MV/HV substations.
Project Delivery & OperationsSubcontractor Management: Interface with and manage Tier 1 electrical subcontractors to ensure technical assurance.Active Site Involvement: Transition from office-based design to site-based supervision (up to 3-4 days per week) during peak construction and commissioning windows.Commissioning: Support international teams in executing all pre-commissioning and final energization activities.
Strategic GrowthBusiness Support: Assist in the tendering process by providing technical expertise for pricing documents and vendor selection.Mentorship: Guide graduate engineers and prepare to lead a dedicated electrical department as the Irish team scales significantly over the next 12 months.Candidate ProfileExperience: 4–8 years of proven experience in the HV Energy or Renewable sector.
