The Role
Reporting to the Membrane QA Manager, the Principal Quality Engineer will oversee the Quality Functions for the Membrane Area.
The Principal Quality Engineer will perform all activities efficiently and competently, with a focus on Safety and Quality, while promoting a positive team environment and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
* Supervise, train, and develop assigned Q.A. staff.
* Support colleague engagement to foster a positive team environment through open communication and feedback.
* Lead quality support in Membrane initiatives, ensuring products meet quality, compliance, and customer requirements.
* Oversee the Quality Management System in the Membrane plant to ensure compliance with corporate procedures and quality standards, and promote continuous improvement.
* Support the Membrane Operations team in troubleshooting, process and technology development, and compliance improvement programs.
* Facilitate continuous improvement through quality reviews and improvement plans.
* Ensure timely closure of deviations, CAPAs, change controls, audit observations, and customer complaints.
* Promote awareness of quality and customer expectations throughout the Membrane Operations.
* Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety legislation and procedures.
* Collaborate with internal teams to meet operational commitments from a quality perspective.
* Manage the budget allocated to the area.
* Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
* BSc in a relevant scientific discipline.
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, ideally in Pharma/Biopharma.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
* Results-oriented with good decision-making and problem-solving skills.
