We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Financial Controller to join a finance team on a fixed-term basis.
The role is integral to the delivery of accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, and full regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across all entities
Maintain, develop, and implement robust accounting policies and internal financial controls, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Monitor and review costs on an ongoing basis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve financial performance and efficiency
Oversee and coordinate year-end processes and reporting inputs across all business units, ensuring timely completionEnsure all statutory, regulatory, and compliance returns are completed accurately and submitted on time
Coordinate and manage audits, tax reviews, and act as the primary finance liaison with external stakeholders
Lead, develop, and strengthen the finance team, promoting best practice and continuous improvement
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, providing clear financial insight and support
The Person
An ACA/ACCA qualified accountant with a minimum of five years' post-qualification experience
Experienced in a Financial Controller role within a medium to large organisation (e.g. €10m+ turnover)
Skilled in financial reporting across multiple entities or business units
Experienced in preparing statutory audit files and managing external audit processes
A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
Commercially aware with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes
Experienced or interested in finance transformation initiatives (advantageous)
Familiar with financial systems (experience with ERP/accounting platforms advantageous)
